When your big day comes and you arrive at hospital, you are usually presented with a surgical gown to wear.
Unfortunately, accommodating natural active labour of healthy Mums-to-be, was not something that was considered in their design. Originally, hospital gowns were designed to cover your body before surgery.
When youre in the midst of actually giving birth, what you are wearing will probably be the last thing on your mind, but as we all know, the time your labour will take is an unknown quantity. Labour can range from a couple of hours, to 24 hrs or more.
If you are planning a natural birth, there may be times where you will be walking the corridors, sitting and waiting, utilising a birthing ball, crouching, squatting, resting or having a partner massage your back or belly. You may also have your midwife or doctor attach monitors to your belly to ensure baby is safe and well, or you may even opt for an epidural.
BINSI Birth Wear is a specialty range of clothing that easily accommodates all of the above, whilst keeping you comfortable and fully dressed. BINSI allows you the freedom to remain active, covered and confident so you feel more like yourself - a woman about to experience something amazing - rather than a hospital patient. You can say Bye Bye to your Bare Bottom (picture that rear-revealing hospital gown) and Hello to BINSI!

BINSI was designed by an experienced Doula (Birth Assistant) and mother of three so she has carefully considered every possible birthing option in the design. If you wish to take your Binsi outfit off for any reason, she has thought about that too.
Both BINSI tops, the GoGo and the Thankini, undo at the straps and unclip down one side, so they can easily be removed without struggling to pull them over your head mid contraction, or having to worry about threading them over any IV poles or monitoring equipment if such interventions are required. The GoGo in particular is also a great option to wear as a sleep bra or comfy crop top style bra in the later stages of pregnancy.
All BINSI skirts, Original, Too II and Prima Mama, have an adjustable underbelly fit and can be worn before, during, and after your birth.
BINSI skirts are suitable for use as general maternity wear, but are ideal for your midwife or obstetric visits, pregnancy exercise or yoga classes, or appointments with your pregnancy maintenance acupuncturist, chiropractor or masseuse.
BINSI is currently available in three skirt designs in varying colours, and a choice of two tops, so there is sure to be a BINSI outfit that will suit your personal style and keep you comfortable and covered for the most amazing day of your life. BINSIs got your butt covered!
